Ruler
FreeAndoco · c. 20 BC–AD 10 (coins)
Andoco is known only from his coins, which carry the name in short forms such as ANDO and ANDOCO; the full name is unknown. Evans suggested Andocomius only provisionally. Names of the same form are known in Gaul, such as Andocumborius of the Remi, named by Caesar. His coins look like those of Tasciovanos, king of the at Verlamion (St Albans), and are found in the same region, so he is thought to have ruled alongside or under Tasciovanos, though the names on these coins may instead be marks. One coin type carries both names, TASC and ANDO. Evans judged from the rarity of his coins that his reign was short.,,,
Known for A small coinage of gold, silver and in eight types, struck in Tasciovanos's style; this silver with is one of two silver types.
People Catuvellauni: A people north of the Thames in today's Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, centred on Verlamion (St Albans). Andoco's coins are found in the same region and in neighbouring Cambridgeshire and Essex.,,
